A North Dakota man has been arrested for a killing in South Dakota.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley and Hamlin County State's Attorney Jeromy Pankratz said 43-year-old Steven Helm, of Bismarck, North Dakota, was arrested early Tuesday on a murder charge in the death of 33-year-old Jesse James Gisi of Watertown.
Authorities said Gisi died of a single gunshot wound. His body was found Sunday in a rural area in east central South Dakota.
Authorities declined to release details about the discovery of the body.
Helm was arrested in Bismarck after investigators identified him as a person of interest in the case. Details about the relationship of the two men were not released.
