Nation's Largest Ethanol Company Names President
March 2, 2011, 10:26 AM
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
The nation's largest ethanol producer has named Jeff Lautt as its new president.
Lautt has been with Sioux Falls-based Poet since early 2005, most recently serving as executive vice president of corporate operations. Company founder Jeff Broin will remain as chief executive officer and chairman of the board.
Broin says the change will allow him to focus his time and energy on long-term strategy for the company and the ethanol industry. He says many of the challenges Poet faces are shared by the entire ethanol industry, and he'll continue in his role as co-chairman of the industry group Growth Energy.
