National Guard Training Exercise Begins

RAPID CITY, SD - The South Dakota National Guard's 26th annual Golden Coyote training exercise begins Monday. The two-week event in the southern Black Hills provides relevant training opportunities in support of overseas contingency operations and homeland defense.
More than 1,700 service members will conduct combat support and combat service support missions in a realistic training
environment. Units participating in the exercise come from multiple branches of military service - Army, Navy and Air Force.
It runs through June 26.
