Names Released In Fatal Crash

Names Released In Fatal Crash
CANISTOTA, SD -

On Thursday, March 21, Jeffrey Ryan Robocker, 38, of Bridgewater, SD was traveling east on Highway 42 in a 2008 KIA Sedona going toward the 447th Avenue intersection.

Robocker’s vehicle struck the trailer of a Peterbilt semi-truck driven by Joshua Dean Steffensen, 35, of Hetland, SD. Steffensen had stopped at a stop sign and was pulling onto the highway when the trailer was struck.

Robocker was not wearing seat belt. He was dead at the scene.

Steffensen was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
