SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Samuel Blue Lint, who is facing murder charges in the death of a Sioux Falls man, is now accused of trying to hire a fellow inmate to kill a witness in the case.
In addition to the charges Lint faces in connection to the death of Michael Stevens, he is also now charged with criminal solicitation of murder, robbery and arson.
The inmate, who was in the same cell block as Lint at the Minnehaha County Jail, is cooperating with authorities.
The witness who Lint wanted killed is a Sioux Falls resident and is aware of the threat. Police have taken additional precautions to protect the person, including increasing patrols in the neighborhood.
Bond on Lint is set at $500,000; he's scheduled to make a court appearance on Tuesday.
