Mud runs have been increasing in popularity all over the country and on September 21st, Sioux Falls will be home to its very own thanks to the Sioux Falls Family YMCA.
The First Annual Muddy Vike 5K Mud and Obstacle Run will take place at Leif Ericson Day Camp. The Muddy Vike features 12 professionally engineered obstacles and is open to anyone of age wanting to dive in.
"Basically this event is a community event that we're looking for to get the community moving and provide an opportunity that really hasn't been offered inside the city limits of Sioux Falls for people to just come out and enjoy. This isn't your Warrior Dash or Spartan Race for hardcore athletes. This is your everyday fun event for anybody over the age of 18 to come out and enjoy mud and obstacles and just a fun atmosphere after the race," Mike Smit said.
The Muddy Vike takes place on September 21st. Viking-related costumes are encouraged. If you'd like to register, click here for more information.
