Mount Rushmore is taking on The Big Apple this weekend.
The South Dakota Department of Tourism's presidential mascots will be in New York City to promote the state's float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The four mascots represent the four faces of Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The mascots along with representatives from the Department of Tourism are kicking off their trip with an appearance at Macy's and several tourism spots around the city.
The goal is to share travel information about South Dakota.
On Thanksgiving, South Dakota will once again be in the spotlight when the state's float appears in the Macy's parade. "American Pie" singer Don McLean will ride on the float. This is the third year the state has had a float in the parade.
