Mount Rushmore Floats Through Macy's Parade
NEW YORK CITY, NY -

The great faces of South Dakota's Mount Rushmore made their third appearance in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. 

Singer-songwriter Don McLean performed on Mount Rushmore's American Pride float as the 86th annual parade navigated the streets of New York City Thursday morning.

The South Dakota Department of Tourism says by appearing in the parade, they hope to bring new and repeat visitors to South Dakota.  Afterall, they there are an estimated 3.5 million people on the streets for the parade and more than 50 million were expected to watch it on television nationwide.
