Mother Arrested For DUI After RC Crash

RAPID CITY, SD - Officials say a mother who had two young children in the car had been drinking when she crashed head-on into another vehicle on a Rapid City street Saturday night.

Police say around 10 p.m. Saturday, 22-year-old Tawny Little Hawk was driving west on Saint Cloud Street when she veered into the eastbound lane and crashed into an on-coming car. Then her car went off the road and into a ditch.

Police say she'd been drinking and had her two children in the car. Little Hawk, a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Little Hawk was arrested for DUI and reckless driving.
