Most Americans Are Not Saving For Retirement

August 18, 2014, 7:28 PM by Anna Peters

Most Americans Are Not Saving For Retirement

One in three Americans has not saved any money for retirement.  A new Bankrate.com survey says the younger you are, the less likely you are to save.

Researchers found 69 percent of 18-to-29 year olds haven't saved a penny.  That's compared to 33 percent of people in their 30s and 40s, 26 percent of people in between 50 to 64 and 14 percent of people 65 and older.

Despite their lack of savings, the study says millennials feel more financially secure than any other age group.
