The woman accused of leading authorities on a high speed chase and running over a South Dakota trooper last week may face more charges.
Authorities say Trooper Andrew Steen first tried to stop 25-year-old Rachel Coleman on Wednesday on the west side of Sioux Falls. She led Steen to the Empire Mall area, then to 57th Street and Western Avenue.
At some point, law enforcement shot Coleman at least once. She is still hospitalized but her condition has not been released.
Trooper Steen remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Coleman faces several charges including attempted murder and her fourth DWI. Her bond is set at $500,000.
The Attorney General's office is now reviewing the officer-involved shooting.
