Mobridge Looks At Airport Expansion
March 7, 2007, 4:24 PM
Mobridge has drawn up plans to expand its airport. City Administrator Steve Gasser says it's due in part to the possibility that a big power plant will be built nearby. A site east of Mobridge is one of three that Basin Electric Power Cooperative is considering for a new coal-fired plant.
The airport expansion includes a longer runway that could accommodate bigger planes. Airport Manager Virgil Lenling says that would help bring in nonresident pheasant hunters, too.
