Officials with Minnesota's online health insurance marketplace say there's still time to get coverage before a midnight deadline.
MNsure chief Scott Leitz says the exchange website is running well and a call center will be staffed until midnight to help anyone who needs it.
The deadline for enrolling in private insurance plans is 11:59 p.m. Monday. But Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson says people who are eligible for the publicly run Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare programs can enroll anytime.
Most of the more than 152,000 Minnesotans who had enrolled for coverage via MNsure as of Friday were eligible for the public programs.
Those who miss the midnight deadline but make a good-faith effort to enroll will get more time to complete enrollment and escape a financial penalty.
