Mitchell police have arrested a man on charges he set fire to a friend's house that was destroyed.
Authorities say 32-year-old Robert Pomani, of Mitchell, is charged with reckless burning for Friday's suspicious fire.
Investigators say suspicious burn patterns were discovered at the home that's owned by Joel Ward and is a total loss.
Detective Lt. Don Everson says Pomani is friends with Ward and it appears Pomani set the fire in revenge. Everson says that hours before the blaze, Ward reported an assault between Pomani and someone else and also reported drug use by Pomani and others.
Pomani could not be reached for comment and it wasn't clear if he had an attorney.
