A state prison inmate is back in custody after leaving the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls Saturday morning.
Law enforcement located Gregory Lewandowski walking along Interstate 29 north of the city around 5:30 p.m.
He was reported missing just before 10 a.m. when he walked away from the minimum-security Unit C at the Jameson Annex.
