SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Home builders across the Sioux Falls area are excited to show off their work.
"Just everyone is finishing up the last little things, paint touch-ups and all that," Larry Weissenburger of Rosewood Homes said.
But this home in eastern Sioux Falls is a bit different. Known as the miracle home, all of the proceeds from this house will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network.
"I'm involved in a lot of organizations and I see how generous everybody is and I wanted to be part of that. It is just a great feeling knowing that I'm helping people that need help," Weissenburger said.
However, the generosity of the community shows in all corners of the home. Much of the material and time to make this house possible was donated. Larry Weissenburger of Rosewood Homes says no corners were cut. The house has modern features like built in audio, and whole home security.
And the donations didn't stop inside the home. Much of what you can see outside the home was also donated, including the plants for landscaping and soon-to-be-installed sod.
The back of the home features a fireplace and other attractive features. Given the design and current market, this home won't likely be available for long.
"Houses are selling really well. We are super busy as a builder right now and we've got a lot of people coming to us for new homes, so I don't think it will be very long and we'll be able to get the check to the Children's Miracle Network," Weissenburger said.
Which is exactly what this home is designed to do.
The Fall Parade of Homes runs this weekend and next. The hours are 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Monday from 5:30 until 8:30 in the evening.
The parade is free, except for a $5 donation to see the feature homes.
