Bismarck-area authorities are searching for a man wanted on numerous warrants in the Minot area.
Authorities say 35-year-old Dustin Goettle failed to show up for a Ward County court hearing this month. Bismarck police and Burleigh County officers chased him on Tuesday but called off the pursuit for safety reasons.
Police believe Goettle threw a handgun out of the window of his vehicle during the chase. They recovered a gun that had been stolen in Mobridge, S.D., in February.
Goettle faces drug, weapon and fleeing charges and could get life in prison if caught and convicted.
