Two men accused of stealing from the St. Francis Volunteer Fire Department have pleaded not guilty in federal court to one count each of larceny.
Court records show that John Swift and Harvey LaPointe entered the pleas on Feb. 27. They were released on bond until their trial.
An indictment says the men, between August 2009 and December 2010 "took and carried away, with intent to steal and purloin," more than $1,000 in department property.
The judge set a trial date of April 30.
