South Dakota officials are holding a memorial Thursday morning for the four airmen who lost their lives while fighting the White Draw Fire.
The service will begin at 6:30 a.m. MDT to honor Lt. Col Paul Mikeal, Major Joe McCormick, Major Ryan Scott David, and Master Sgt. Robert Cannon.
The four airmen with the North Carolina Air National Guard were killed when their C-130 tanker crashed Sunday evening near Edgemont, SD.
Governor Dennis Daugaard has also asked that flags across South Dakota be flown at half-staff Thursday.
