The first of a two-day estate sale at former U.S. Sen. George McGovern's home gets under way Saturday in Sioux Falls.
McGovern, a three-time presidential hopeful, died in October at age 90. Now his possessions are going up for sale.
People will have the chance to buy furniture, campaign material, books, artwork and other personal items once owned by George McGovern and his wife Eleanor, who passed away in 2007.
Deb Sorensen runs Finders Keepers Estate, Collectable & Antique Sales. She is running the estate sale. She says items range from $1 to thousands of dollars.
The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the home, located at 2615 S. Ridgeview Way.
