SIOUX FALLS, SD -
The 25th-ranked Augustana men's basketball team, the No. 3 seed in the South Division, advanced to the quarterfinals of the NSIC/Sanford Health Men's Basketball Tournament with an 89-81 win over Minnesota Duluth on Wednesday night.
The Vikings (20-7) travel to Aberdeen, S.D. to take on the North Division's No. 2 seed Northern State (20-10) on Saturday. Opening tip-off for the quarterfinal game is set for 4 p.m. at Wachs Arena on the campus of Northern State. The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the semifinals of the conference tournament to play the winner of Minnesota State, the South Division's No. 1 seed, and MSU Moorhead, the North Division's No. 4 seed. The semifinals and finals of the NSIC Tournament will be held at Taylor Arena in Rochester, Minn. on March 8-9.
