MBK: Bison Top Coyotes For Summit Title
FARGO, ND -

FARGO, N.D.—North Dakota State shot out to a 24-3 lead and never looked back in an 82-54 win against South Dakota Thursday night at the Bison Sports Arena.

The Bison (22-6, 11-2 Summit) have won the Summit League regular season championship outright and have won 11 of their last 12 games. South Dakota (12-16, 6-7) lost for the first time in four games.

North Dakota State held South Dakota without a field goal for nearly 14 minutes to start the game. The Coyotes missed the first 14 shots they took and committed seven turnovers in staking the Bison to a 21-point lead. Nineteen points was the closest USD would get from that point forward.

Taylor Braun had 15 points, 12 rebounds and six assists to pace the Bison. Mike Felt scored 15 points off the bench on five 3-pointers. TrayVonn Wright and Marshall Bjorklund added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Karim Rowson scored 10 points to lead South Dakota, which made 4 of 22 shots in the first half and shot a season-low 31 percent in the game. Tyler Flack and Brandon Bos added nine points each.

USD will be the No. 5 seed in the Summit League Tournament, which runs March 8-11 in Sioux Falls. The Coyotes will open the tournament at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 against either Denver or Fort Wayne. USD wraps up the regular season at 4 p.m. Saturday against South Dakota State in Brookings.
