Daniel Jansen hit two free throws with one second remaining in the second half to tie the game at 64 and send it to overtime where the Vikings went on to defeat the University of Mary 75-68 on Friday night in Bismarck, N.D.
Augustana (8-5, 5-2 NSIC) trailed by 14 with 9:40 to play in the second half and came all the way back to tie the game with a second left and force overtime. U-Mary falls to 2-10 on the season, including 0-7 in the NSIC.
Jansen finished the game with a career-high 31 points to go along with 11 rebounds for his second straight double-double. Jansen is the first player to score 30 or more points in a game since Cameron McCaffrey scored 30 against Minnesota Duluth on Feb. 27, 2013.
Casey Schilling added 16 points and nine rebounds for Augustana while Evan Pierce matched his career-high with 11 points.
Augustana will take on Minot State tomorrow night at 6 p.m. at the MSU Dome in Minot, N.D.
