SIOUX FALLS, SD -
In just four weeks, residents in Sioux Falls will vote on a proposed $115 million Events Center.
The Events Center special election is set for on November 8th.
Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Mike Huether went over a few of the top questions people are still asking about the project. They include how many jobs will be created, how the city is sure it won't cost more than $115 million and how the bond repayment process works. Huether noted that it was a year ago that he first went to the city council to pitch the events center plan. And after a year of discussion, he says it's now up to the people of Sioux Falls to decide if they want the facility built.
If you want to learn more the events center plan, the city will hold two educational presentations this week. The first is on Wednesday at the MariCar Community Center. The second will be at the Caille Branch Library. Both meetings will go from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
