Mayor Shares Details On Events Center Plan
September 8, 2010, 10:25 AM
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Mayor Mike Huether is revealing more details about a plan to build a Sioux Falls events center.
A half million dollars is in next year's budget to pay for the initial designs and surveys for a new events center. Huether says he would like to see a design for a 12,000 seat facility that would cost around $99 million.
"We've put together a vision, not a plan per say, because that's what this half million will tell us, but at least we wanted to put forth a number in the spirit of helping the city council understand why this half a million dollars is needed," Huether said.
The city council will vote on the proposal and the entire budget next week.
