Marathon Offers Travelers Shuttle From Sioux City

September 6, 2012, 6:12 AM by Kellee Azar

Marathon Offers Travelers Shuttle From Sioux City
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

An annual event in Sioux Falls has to adjust some of its plans because of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport's scheduled closure.  Construction crews will use the time to finish what's left of the runway reconstruction project.

But the closure also falls on the weekend of the Sioux Falls Marathon, which brings in thousands of people from across the country who usually fly into the airport.

Instead, those travelers are advised to fly into Sioux City, Omaha or even Minneapolis. Marathon organizers have set up a shuttle to transport travelers who fly into Sioux City to Sioux Falls.  You can find that information and how to register on the Sioux Falls Marathon/Half Marathon website.

The event kicks off on Sunday at 6:45 a.m.
