The rain has left eastern KELOLAND and the sun was out Tuesday, but western South Dakota will have a chance for scattered showers over the next couple of days. While many places are close to average so far for the month, we needed to soak up as much as we can get. Many communities are still below average for the year.
Some places are between an inch and an inch and three quarters, enough to put many locations slightly above average.
Eastern and southeast KELOLAND are still well below average by as much as three and a third inches in Sioux Falls and two and a third inches in Huron. At least western and southwest South Dakota are above average, by as much as an inch and a half in Pine Ridge.
Along with the dry skies the next couple of days, be wary of frost chances during the early morning.
