SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Police arrested four people in connection with a meth lab in central Sioux Falls Thursday night. This one was discovered after a citizen saw the KELOLAND News coverage of the meth lab that was busted near Augustana College on Wednesday.
Four people, including someone who walked away from the Minnehaha County Jail, were all arrested on meth and marijuana charges. The arrests happened near the intersection of 12th Street and Cliff Avenue in Sioux Falls.
Police showed up at the home after an employee at a nearby business tipped them off. On Wednesday, the man had noticed a pop bottle sitting outside the business with a tube coming out of it. He didn't think anything of it until he saw video that night of the meth bust near Augustana College.
He called police on Thursday. When police started looking through the neighborhood, they found other remnants for making meth and ultimately made four arrests.
These aren't large-scale meth labs like we were seeing a few years ago, but the pop-bottle method has become a smaller and more popular way of making the drug.
