A Valley Springs man will spend 60 years in prison after being found guilty of raping a six-year-old girl.
Judge Brad Zell has sentenced Kevin Buchholtz to 67 years in prison, with seven of those years suspended.
The 57-year-old man was convicted of two counts of rape in the 1st degree, one count of sexual contact with a child and one count of indecent exposure involving a child by a jury during a week long trial in August 2012.
The six-year-old girl said in a recorded interview that Buchholtz fondled her in June 2011. She said it happened while she was helping him clean the garage and inside his bedroom.
Buchholtz faced up to life in prison.
