RAPID CITY, SD -
Authorities have arrested a Box Elder man who allegedly shot at a vehicle on U.S. Highway 16 in southwest South Dakota.
Rapid City police and the Pennington County Sheriff's Office say the 19-year-old man is accused of randomly shooting at a car Wednesday night. Authorities say they seized a handgun when they arrested the man late Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say the three people inside the rental car heard something hit it as they were driving by the Reptile Gardens tourist attraction. They later discovered that a bullet had gone through a passenger-side door and lodged in the center console. No one was hurt.
