Man Arrested For Sheldon, IA Stabbing
SHELDON, IA -

A Sheldon, IA man was arrested in connection to a stabbing that occured at approximately 11:30 p.m. July 11.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Friday, July 11, Sheldon Police responded to an altercation at 112 N. 5th Ave. in Sheldon, IA. 23-year-old Derek Bucher, of Sheldon, was stabbed once in the chest with a knife. Bucher was transported to Sanford Sheldon and flown to Sioux Falls. He is scheduled to be released soon.

About an hour later, 27-year-old Zackery James Dean Soesbe was found at his apartment at 319 1/2 9th Street. Soesbe was arrested for felony assault and transported to O'Brien County Jail in Primghar.

An investigation into the incident is on-going.
