A Hartford man is facing multiple charges following a high-speed chase the South Dakota Highway Patrol described as dangerous.
23-year-old Justin King was stopped by a trooper on Interstate 29 at about 8:30 Friday morning just south of the 60th Street North Exit for a broken windshield. Authorities say when the trooper got out of his vehicle, King sped off to the Maple Street exit and headed west.
They say the chase reached speeds of up to 105 miles per hour on county roads. Officers say King blew through a couple of stop signs, then turned north on 463rd Street and drove into Hartford and parked his car at his dad's house. That's when authorities arrested him.
King is charged with aggravated eluding, reckless driving, speeding, driving with a suspended license and running stop signs.
