A fire at Falls Park led to an arrest Thursday evening.
Police say a transient who had been drinking started a camp fire and it got out of hand. The fire spread and covered a small area on the southeast side of Falls Park.
"This cane next to the river, when it got into there, it flared up to probably ten to 15 feet as it came through it and then fell back down," Capt. Wade Mulder said.
Firefighters had the flames knocked down within five to ten minutes.
The man accused of starting the fire was arrested for having an open fire in a city park.
Fire Rescue wants to remind everyone to be careful with open flames, especially when the area is so dry right now.
