Man Arrested After Low-Speed Chase

April 7, 2014, 2:21 PM by Andy Graning

Man Arrested After Low-Speed Chase
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

A low-speed chase Saturday morning ended with an arrest and an injured Sioux Falls Police officer.

An officer recognized Anthony V. Lewis's blue Chevy Cavalier after a chase last week. Officers tried to pull the 45-year-old over, but he kept driving. They eventually caught up to him near Russell Street and Minnesota Avenue.

Police eventually boxed Lewis in and he allegedly hit a police car. The officer has minor injuries.

On Monday in court, Lewis faced a long list of charges including, aggravated assault on law enforcement, intentional damage to property and resisting arrest.
