A fund is set up in the name of one of two people who tried to rescue a boy at Falls Park in Sioux Falls.
16-year-old Madison Wallace jumped into the Big Sioux River after her six-year-old brother went into the water Thursday evening. A witness, 28-year-old Lyle Eagletail, tried to help both kids. While the boy was able to make it to shore, the teenager and man didn't make it out of the river.
Crews found the Vermillion teenager's body around 1:30 p.m. Friday. They plan to look for Eagletail until 8 p.m. Friday and resume the search Saturday morning.
A fund is set up to help the Wallace family. You can go to any local Wells Fargo bank and donate to the Madison Wallace Family Fund. You can also donate online. You can find those details on the Madison Wallace Fund website.
