The Minnehaha County Republican Party is pulling out of one Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce event amid accusations that the forum is too liberal. This comes after some Republicans say the annual League of Women Voters' Legislative Coffee is biased.
The action was the talk of the Chamber's annual Legislative Breakfast Thursday in Sioux Falls.
Representative Manny Steele says the bias at the League of Women Voters event has been ongoing.
To fix the problem, they've asked for a member of the Sioux Land Republican Women to oversee question selection, which is something the League of Women Voters doesn't feel is appropriate and will only complicate the problem.
The League denies any liberal or conservative bias.
