Two leaf and branch drop off sites will open in Sioux Falls on Saturday.
On the east side, you can find the drop off location near the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 1015 East Chambers Street. Use the driveway just west of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
The location at North Lyon Boulevard, west of the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds, will also be ready to accept leaves and branches. You can access that by using the driveway just north of the railroad crossing.
Hours are the same at both sites: Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday hours are noon to 5 p.m. They will be open through Sunday, December 1, but closed on Thanksgiving Day.
It is $2/load for a car, pickup, full-size SUV, van or two-wheel trailers. Larger loads and those from businesses must go to the Sioux Falls Sanitary Landfill.
All loads must be tarped or in an enclosed vehicle. Leaves in plastic bags will have to be dumped out and branches must go in a separate pile.
