Lawsuit Dismissal Clears Way For Airport Project
July 7, 2009, 7:25 AM
An expansion of the terminal at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport is set to begin this week after a judge dismissed a lawsuit that was delaying the project.
Groundbreaking is set for Thursday, about three months later than planned.
Three construction companies sued the airport authority board earlier this year after failing to win the contract. They said the bid from the company that won the job, Hoogendoorn Construction, didn't meet the specifications of the project.
Defendants argued otherwise. The judge in the case dismissed the lawsuit last week.
