Hot, dry conditions have forced several South Dakota communities to ban fireworks or call off their Independence Day displays.

We've listed the communities below that have made changes and will continue to update the list as new announcements come in.

No fireworks shows:
Avon
Custer and all of Custer County
Hot Springs
Mount Rushmore
New Underwood
Rapid City
Salem
Sturgis
