Large Turnout Slows Ballot Counting

April 8, 2014, 10:10 PM

Large Turnout Slows Ballot Counting
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Sioux Falls voters headed to the polls in droves on Tuesday; so much so that some voting centers ran out of ballots and city employees from the clerk's office were running to make last-minute deliveries.

The large turnout is also blamed for the slow release of results in the city wide and school election.

The first results didn't come out until after 8:30 p.m.  As of 10 p.m., results were in from six of the 14 precincts.

Watch for updated results on our KELOLAND.com Election Results page.
