The children living at the Black Hills Children’s Home as well as the kids cared for by Therapeutic Foster Families will take a trip to the Central States Fair on Wednesday, August 21.
It is the second year in a row the kids have made the trip. The fair opens early just for the children and they will be able to participate in all the activities and ride all the rides they want before the fair opens to the public that day.
The Black Hills Children’s Home is associated with Children’s Home Society and is a residential treatment campus that treats children between the ages of four and 13 with 24 hour day care, therapy for emotional and behavioral issues, education and lots of love along with structure, limits and life skills.
Over 88 percent of children are discharged into a family setting.
