Kidnapping Suspect Arrested In Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls Police have arrested a 19-year-old who is accused of assaulting and kidnapping his girlfriend. 

David Leonard Randle Jr. of Sioux Falls was arrested around noon on Thursday. 

According to Sioux Falls Police, an altercation between Randle and his 17-year-old girlfriend happened outside her home early Wednesday morning. Randle then strangled his girlfriend and forced her toward Covell Lake. The girlfriend was able to escape back to her home where her mother called police.

The girlfriend suffered scrapes and bruises and refused medical treatment.

Randle is charged with Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping.
