A Hughes County jury has found a Fort Pierre man not guilty of attempted murder but guilty of several other charges.
The jury handed down the verdicts Friday afternoon for Derek Boe. Boe was accused of shooting a shotgun into a vehicle occupied by his girlfriend last January.
Boe was found guilty of aggravated assault, discharging a firearm at a vehicle and possessing a firearm by a felon. He pleaded guilty to being a habitual offender. A drug charge has yet to be decided.
Boe showed no emotion as the verdict was read. He faces up to 55 years in prison. No sentencing date has been set.
