A job fair in Sioux Falls is catering to the baby boomer generation looking for work.
The Bridges Employment Resource Center held a job fair on Thursday. The organization provides people over age 40 with tools they need to find a job.
Many people filling out applications on Thursday say they want to get back into the workforce.
"I'm trying to get a home and the extra income would help a lot for a down payment," job fair participant Sharon Meyer said.
This job fair comes just as the Bureau of Labor released the latest unemployment rate for Sioux Falls, which is three percent.
Later on KELOLAND News, Brady Mallory will talk with a Department of Labor official about the state of the work force in the city and what solutions they have to help bring the number down.
