SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Former South Dakota Gov. Bill Janklow earned a lot of adjectives over the years - generous, stubborn, fallible and loyal.
So say friends and family speaking to hundreds of people who packed Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls on Wednesday for the former governor and congressman's funeral.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard says, "It's very hard to imagine South Dakota without Bill Janklow."
Janklow, who served four terms as governor but resigned as South Dakota's lone congressman after causing a fatal traffic accident, died Thursday of cancer at the age of 72.
Former Sen. Tom Daschle says Janklow got grief for having the Democrat as a friend. But Daschle says Janklow didn't care because he was loyal to his friends.
A private burial is set for a later date.
