A Sioux City man accused of leaving the scene of a fatal car crash faces a felony charge in the case.
22-year-old Mark Beltran was charged Tuesday in Woodbury County District Court in connection with the death of 70-year-old Robert Ibsgaard.
Beltran is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Court records do not list an attorney.
Authorities say Ibsgaard, also of Sioux City, was on a crosswalk in late May when he was struck by a car driven by Beltran. Ibsgaard died several days later.
Beltran is accused of driving to a parking lot after the crash and running off. He was arrested a short time later.
