Iowa Company: Meat Is Safe
October 8, 2006, 7:29 AM
The owner of an Iowa meat company says the federal government has needlessly requested that he recall 52 hundred pounds of meat that he claims is safe and has likely already been eaten by people in seven states.
The owner of Jim's Market and Locker says test show that his ground beef was not contaminated with E-coli.
He says he's "absolutely confident" the meat is safe.
The owner says he has already had some orders canceled because of the bad publicity.
