Injured Trooper's Recovery Takes Next Step

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Friends of family of South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Steen have another reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving.

Steen is still in the hospital but friends say he is in a good mood and his feeding tube was removed just in time for the holiday.

Steen is recovering from serious head injuries after being hit by a car more than a month ago.

Hand County authorities say the 81-year-old Pierre man who had been missing since Sunday morning was found dead.
