Increase In SD Whooping Cough Cases
PIERRE, SD -

The number of pertussis, or whooping cough, cases in South Dakota continues to rise.

The South Dakota Department of Health says there have been 31 cases reported in the state this year. Doctors diagnosed eight people in the past three weeks.

Health officials urge anyone who has not received the pertussis vaccination to get immunized.
