On his latest trip to Iowa, President Barack Obama is again splitting his time between Democratic-friendly territory and an area that typically backs Republicans.
Obama's first Iowa stop Saturday will be in the Des Moines suburb of Urbandale. He'll then head to Sioux City, where he'll speak at Morningside College.
The president has campaigned repeatedly in Iowa this summer and his trips usually have included stops in counties where he lost to Republican John McCain in the 2008 presidential election.
That includes Woodbury County, where Sioux City is located. Last month, Obama visited Council Bluffs and Oskaloosa, both in counties that he lost to McCain.
Democratic activists say Obama likely won't win in western Iowa, but he could pick up votes that help his chances against Republican Mitt Romney.
